Fifty Shades of Grey: Why You Probably Shouldn't Bother [Book Review]
Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
If there was a zero star rating, I would have given that. This book barely live up to the hype that made me borrow this book in the first place. I'm glad I didn't buy it, not even as an e-book. Meandering. Recycling words and scenes over and over again, ad infinitum. This book is not even erotic, not at all. I painfully tried to read every word until my eyes almost bled in agony. Such a painful read, and not in a good way. I'm just glad the ordeal is over. I started reading Book 2 a few days ago, was giving it another chance, thinking maybe there's some form of redemption there. No such luck. 50 pages into it, I threw my hands up in the air and screamed: "I can't take any more of this BS." You don't have to eat an entire cake to know that it's good. Apparently, you don't have to read through 382 pages of Fifty Shades of Grey to know that while some people may adore it, it just isn't the book for you. Sorry Fifty fans. I mean no disrespect.
